    I have a DELL 8300 with a TEAC DVD+RW DV-W58E burner.
    I use Nero 6.3.1.6
When I want to make an intire disk copy using the nero startsmart interface section: DVD.
    Using the right dvd+r disks
    I get this error:

Medium in drive: DVD+R. Medium required by compilation: CD-R/RW

I've totally lost it!!!! dont know what to do........

    hi murky

your post is lacking info,Are you trying to copy a commercial dvd?If so then you have to use something to rip the encryption off the disc. You cant just put a dvd in your rom drive and copy with your dvdr drive.

A little more info would be helpful,I dont know if I need to tell you about dvd shrink and dvd decrypter or not.

sounds to me like your burner doesn't support the type of blank media you are trying to use/it is a bad disc(s)/ or your burner is faulty.

    do you have decrypter???????

you shouldn't need to do this but try decrypter in iso read then iso write mode......this will at least eliminate the software you are using.

I found out that there are 3 types of firmware of the teac burner

the E version is specially made for in Dell computers...

And the burner is a +R burner, So im using the right blank media.

just a thought you have got nero set to burn a dvd instead of a cd.
just sounds strange its asking for a cdr instead of a dvdr.
