hello all - im new to the world of ripping/converting and all that good stuff. Xtremely new obviously since everytime i think i might be getting the hang of something it seems i got it all backwards.
    can be pretty frustrating.
i have seen here at afterdawn the download for the free version of dvd rebuilder.
***because of how old it is - and because im on vista - is this still the version thats recommended?
i saw so many people saying so many great things about dvd rebuilder - and wanted to know if its this free version that they are refering to?
thanks all for any and all help aswell as any extra advice you can throw my way. i have to log off - but will be back as soon as possible to try and respond to and try my hand at any suggestions.
    thanks all.

The free version is okay but once you get the hang of things, you'll most likely want to advance to the pro version. There is so much more you can do with the pro version and you'll have much more control on the output quality. You'll never want to transcode (I hate that word) again.

The only way to get the pro version is at the DVD Rebuilder site. After you pay for it, you will get an email with the link for download.

    Welcome to aD :)

As dialysis stated, once you get the hang of DVD Rebuilder you will never go back and the Pro version is just that much better.

    thanks alot - all.
just did my first back up using dvdrb on "the professional"
needless to say, it worked beautifully.
ill use it a couple more times just to kinda get the hang of things then look into the pro version like you guys said.
    thanks again.

These guys are right on. Once you get the hang of things, it's well worth the little bit of money for the Pro Version.

    You won't regret it.
