dvd recorder and dvd writer in computer

    can a dvd recorded in a stand alone recorder be read by my dvd drive? either/both -/+ either/both R/RW?

    I believe the answer to your question is yes for any of the choices you provided if you're talking about a dvd drive either on your computer or a standalone. The only issue is that a DVD+ type disc won't be playable in a drive that's older than about 2004.

    Edit 6/22/2021- I changed "DVD+ type drive" to "DVD+ type disc." I also have an e-mail notification of an additional comment to this thread today but don't see the comment here.
