I have a Magnavox model MWR20V6 stand alone recorder and I am trying to convert some old VHS Tapes to DVD. My problem is the recorder cuts off before the tape is finished. The only way I can record a tape is after it stops start the recording process over again and it will record again but it will be in chapters. The tapes are not copyrighted and the only brands of blank DVD I have found that works id Sony DVD+R 1x-16x or Maxell -R The 800 number is a joke I hope some of you can solve my problem. The people at the 800 help line said to set the VCR side at SP and the DVD side at SLP is this correct? Most of what I'm trying to convert have a 2hr.-2 1/2he. duration. Please somebody help me I'm ready to burn the thing. How can I get it to record the full length without cutting off?
