I just bought the LG "DVD recorder+ VCR" (RC199h) and I know I need a stabilizer/decoder to copy from vhs to dvd. So, am I able to use either the The Dimax "Red Pro" or the Optex. Also do I have to use a seperate VCR to to this? Can I just record for VHS to DVD from the LG once I get a stabilizer.

    Thanks

You would need a seperate VCR to be able to use a stabilizer between. If the video is not copy-protected you'll be able to record straight to DVD using just your machine. You could then improve the video quality by editing on your computer (assuming you have a DVD drive).
