Is there a way to rip my own iMovie files, that I burned on disk with iDVD, and be able to re- edit them in iMovie ?
Also, how could one capture and edit part of a DVD and burn it to SVC or SVCD?
When ripped the DVD with MacTheRipper, I could not get the files into iMovie.
So I tried recording a chunk direct from a DVD player onto a digital Camcorder, capture and edit it in iMovie and burn CDs using iVCD, but the quality noticeably suffered, maybe because of the transfer. Is there a way to circumvent the Camcorder and get better quality?
Expert help would be much appreciated.

I use a G4 iMac OS10.3.9 have iLife 05, Popcorn, Toast, Quick Time Pro, MacThe Ripper, DVD Imager, Mac VCDX and iVCD for no avail so far.

DvdXDV extracts from your dvd directly to quicktime for imovie or final cut pro. It's worth the shareware fee.

Thanks Mediaguru, I have downloaded the trial version to see how it works.
