Dvd rom won't close! Or work for that matter

    Some one help me!!!!!! My dvd rom wont close, it only closes about half way. At first it would open and close on its own with or without me opening it. THen it would open and close but wouldnt read the disk and alas now it will only stay half open no more no less. HELP

    how old is your dvd rom? You know you can get a new one for around $30-35?
