No, not in device manager, in settings in DVD Region Free. Can I enable DMA in device manager and will it help me re dvd-rom playback problem ? Thanks
try it and see. goto the cd/dvdroms, click properties than settings & click on dma than have to do restart of windows

i've now instaled force aspi layer and clipex dvd software before i buy a new drive it seems to have done the trick it has now played them for two whole days! which it has'nt done before i'm not sure how long it will last so i won't hold my breath , i'm not sure if the force aspi layer has done it of the clipex softwere as i instaled them both at the same time I'll let you know if it changes cheers paul
can you reccomend a good dvd rom for ripping and reading r- dvds as i have now had enougth of this drive its gone back to crashing i've looked at getting the new plextor px716a which i am told does not have a rip lock but i am not sure on what to do try another dvd rom or have 2 burners what do you think? cheers paul
