i have reinstalled nero. and the log says my dma's are off. when i check my disks it looks like every time i do a burn it's writing info which subsequently is not erased....when i engage nerotool, the tool shows capacity at 4.3 gb when it should be 4.7, as well when i erase, it spits it out saying it has completed the erase.... i think my 'puter is not recognizing the disks. is it possible that after multiple attempts at burning they become toasters?
hi did you put dma back on? have you installed an ASPI layer? now you have installed xp again you need to start over will all fixes! are your cables pushed in ok re the drives? did you install InCD again? Determine maximum speed : FALSE Simulate : FALSE Write : TRUE Finalize CD : FALSE Multisession : TRUE Multisession type: : Start multisession Burning mode : DAO Mode : 1 ISO Level : 1 (Max. of 11 = 8 + 3 char) Character set : ISO 9660 Joliet : TRUE Allow pathdepth more than 8 directories : TRUE Allow more than 255 characters in path : TRUE [bold]Write ISO9660 ;1 file extensions : TRUE[/bold] i have bold above as false! just a thought? 4.3gig is correct! not 4.7!
Alot of people wonder why there 4.7GB discs only write 4.38GB at maximum capacity. There is nothing wrong with your disk, but just and industry standard of calculating gigabytes. To be frank there way is incorrect because it actually takes 1024 bytes to make a full MB, yet the industry uses 1000? Go figure.. [bold]4.7 GB discs = 4.38 GB or 4489 MB for DVD-R and 4483 MB for DVD+R.[/bold]
Uninstall Nero.. Download all the Nero Clean tools and run them... Download the trial versions of Nero and install them.
I almost don't want to answer that... http://www.nero.com or here on AD http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_applications/nero.cfm
well dont answer it smart ass,i asked a simple question,i downloaded it from AD before and it asked me for a serial number
Sarcasm is just one more service we offer Your best bet is to go to Nero and download the trial versions make sure you get download package 2.
Hey I resemble that remark!! Some people like Roxio so I won't bad mouth it, but it does sux! LOL Nero rules!!
roxio worked fine for a few weeks, but now when i go to do a backup it freezes for a moment when i'm browsing for files, could this be my pc though?
