DVD+-RW not working

    hey my dvd drive recently stopped working it says error code 39 which relates to the driver as being corrupted or missing i ran the troubleshoot for the device which involved uninstalling n reinstalling which didnt help and then i did the update driver for it n there isnt any for it so im still stuck, so anyone out there able to lend a hand wit my problem?? is it fixable or do i need a new drive?? the drive is a NEC DVD+-RW ND-6650A its only 2yrs old

    sounds like a bad drive there pretty inexpensive nowadays so i would replace it

    or you could call NEC tech support first to make sure its shot but i bet it is

    dont worry i search the net n found a website from ppl with similar problems which lead me to deleteing some boundarys in regedit uninstalling n reinstalling n know its sweet as :)
