    Hi there.

I've got a philips DVDRW228 burner and i brought a copy of a film into work to see if it's play in the DVD-ROM on my PC at work.

It was a DVD+R disc and it played fine, however, today i tried a DVD+RW disc and the video only plays for a couple of seconds and then freezes. If i move the slider along it will go to the next bit of video but then freezes again after a couple of seconds.

I thought DVD+RW discs were easier to read than DVD+R discs. Anyone know what's up?

I would say its the media you are using most likely. DVD+R/RW media has to be good for good playback and especially rw disks. Also, RW's are terrible in DVD-ROM and CD-ROM drives so they would best playback in dvd burners or compatible stand alone dvd players!
