I have begun transferring my old VHS home movies to DVD. The process goes well till I actually burn the file. When I play back the DVD in mt TV -DVD player I get erratic behaviour, mostly freezing and or jumping. The disks usually play well in the computer DVD. My TV based player has previously played other copied DVD's OK but every now and then one plays up.
I am sure there are a number of possible reasons but I would be keen to hear what others may have to say.
Oh yes I have been using 8x Princo dicks and I have tried burning at slower speed.

Order some TY's! When you think of buying cheap media, think TWICE! Always use the best media, not necessarily expensive! The best way to go is online at reputable sites. Try: supermediastore.com

    Let us know wut happens..
