You can use Samsung LiveUpdate - link CdRomPeripheral : ATAPI DVDROM 16X atapi Port 1 ID 0 DMA: Off CdRomPeripheral : TSSTcorp CD/DVDW SH-S182D atapi Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off Turn DMA back on for these drives. Here's a guide Burn process failed at 16x Take the burn speed down to 8x. File 'Drivers\CDRALW2K.SYS' Roxio and Nero don't always play well. If the above fail uninstall Roxio and run the zap tool Give these a go and let us know.
Thanks for the tips, I'm going to try another burn and will report back. 1) I've undated the firmware to SB05 2) I checked the settings for both drives and they show 'DMS if available' 3) Will try to burn at the lower speed 4) Roxio not installed yet
Ok - transfer mode showing DMA if available is good just make sure 'current transfer mode' shows DMA also. From the log is looks like for current transfer mode would show being in PIO mode. So uninstall the ide channel reboot and let windows do it's thing and reinstall. Keep us posted!
Interesting... yes, the 'current transfer mode' was wrong on my Secondary IDE Channel. I uninstalled it, rebooted and that looks ok. I changed the burn setting and tried 8x. So far, all tests are completing with any errors. Simple fix for a simple problem, Thanks!!!
