First, in most cases you do not need to rip a DVD before using DVD Shrink. It has a built-in ripper that will work in most cases. On some problem disc's you might have to use a separate ripper like DVD Decrypter.

    Is that the case?

If you used DVD Decrypter in Mode > File F.
In DVD Shrink click Open Files.

If you used DVD Decrypter in Mode > ISO > Read R
In DVD Shrink click File > Open Disc Image.

So you ripped a movie and are trying to burn it with Shrink?

Shrink can't burn anything unless you have Nero or DVD Decrypter installed. Do you have those?

Normally a ripping program will make a folder that you can browse for, using the "Open Files" feature of Shrink. Is that what you are doing?

Take a look at these guides and see if that helps:

Let me know if this works, I can go over specific things with you and figure out the problem. Be sure to post what programs you are using and some PC info is helpful as well.

    Good Luck!
