Hi, I am new here... I am in need to buy a DVD burner that burns DVD-R at 16X.

I have taken this extract from the website that sells DVD burners:
    LG GSA-H55N IDE Black 20X DVD-Writer W/SecurDisc 20xDVD+R/-R 8xDVD+RW/6xDVD-RW 12xDVD-RAM 10xDVD+/-R9 DL 48xCD-R 32xCD-RW W/Software OEM

OK so this DVD burner does all that. So what's the difference between DVD-Writer 20x and DVD+R/-R 8x?
Will I be able to burn a DVD-R at 16x? Either way, what is the difference between DVD Writer and DVD+R/-R??

    Thank you

Anyway, as aabbccdd said, it is reccomended that you burn your media @ half the rated speed. So, 16x = burn at 8x.
Also bear in mind that burning too slowly can cause errors too.
