DVD used for data backup freezes.. Help !

    Hi. I am using the updated version of Nero 6.6.0.6 and I have a sony vaio k33. i have a sony drx-710UL. i have tried to backup a total of 2.8G data files from my notebook using my sony. I had choosen DVD from the drop down menu and clicked on DVD-make data disc option. Nero was able to cach the files successfully but during its burn process it stops at 3%-5% and freezes. The time continues but the burning process does not move anymore even after an hour. I had used a Verbatim DVD+R dvd disc. Any suggestions for this problem? Thanks.

    Do you have sp2 installed? It may be causing the problem.

    no. i only have the updates for sp1. no sp2 updates. :)
