I am converting my home videos to dvd. I would like to create a chapter select scene which plays a short clip whne you rollover the scene. Is this possible, I know ive seen it on many commercial dvds? thanks for any help
It is very possible and there are plenty of tools out there that can do that. Googling up "dvd authoring chapter titles" brings up a good listing of software. You can do it with TMPGEnc DVD Author. In fact, that program has a really neat feature for chapter titles. You can set it to put one every X minutes. Unfortunately, the program's lack of support for subtitles or other high-end, DVD-authoring features makes it not quite so ideal. If you want something simple, TMPGEnc DVD Author is ideal for setting chapter titles. More complicated wares: DVD-Lab Pro 2, Ulead DVD Workshop.
