DVD wont play

    After changing my DVD burner which was a panasonic ld 311 ram / r to a panasonic multi drive sw9581 this device refuses to play dvd. it will play cd,s and dvdrom but it cannot see a dvd saying that the drive is empty. the message it brings up is "The request could noy be performed because of an I/O error. Any suggestions would be appreciated
