Hi to all I have just installed new DVD writers into the kids pc's I did not get a cd with the writers for drivers one of the writers works fine The other i am unable to get a good picture The picture is all blocky and funny colours I have tried playing around with the pc settings in displays but to no avail. so i am stuck what i have done... I tried my dvd writer in the dodgy Pc but it was still the same. so i am now thinking it could be the graphics card but not sure It plays all other CD games like sims but when i have tried a DVD its not happy. so am i thinking its the Graphics card or is ther another setting I don't no about. Should i need a driver to get the DVD writer to work or should windows XP find it. if you can help regards bobs
Sounds like a bad writer/rom. Try and find the specs for it and download the firmware and re-apply. If that doesn't work, I'd return it.
