I've been using a legally purchased license of this program for years and just love it. Unfortunately, I recently had to do a full system restore on my PC which wiped out all non-original software, including this one. I've reinstalled it successfully, but I'm unable to register it with my original license ID and password. I'm assuming that since the software is no longer supported, that is why it can't connect to the server to verify. I'm pretty sure there is a "work-around" for this, some sort of application or something that "tricks" it into validating the registration, but an exhaustive search thus far has yielded no leads. Anyone have any ideas? I know it's old and I should probably upgrade to something newer anyway, but I really liked the ease of this program and would rather not spend the money right now as I was recently laid off. Many thanks for your help.

Thanks, but the forums there have been closed for more than two years. :(

Okay then, guess that is the FINAL word on the matter! Thanks for the closure. I will indeed explore other options. Hopefully there's at least one out there that's as easy to use for someone who doesn't have loads of free time to invest in anything too terribly overcomplicated. Much appreciated for the help.

    Best,

Alternatively, if it's within your budget, AnyDVD and CloneDVD combo.

6 mouse clicks. It's not as much a bargain now that you have to renew every year, but still the simplest.

OK, I counted them. 8 mouse clicks if you count Start --> Program File, 7 if you create a desktop icon. <G>
