I can also assure that the program works like advertised, seriously. I've tested it on my friend's computer for couple of 6GB+ with extras movies (that were able to fit to 4.36GB without re-encoding) and the stripping process simply beats IFOEdit/similiar tools hands down, still allowing you to select the subs/audios wanted to maintain on the copy. Haven't tried the re-encoding (well, compression, if you wish as the "encoding" is slightly wrong word in here as far as I've understood how the dvd2one works) yet, but according to various sources, it loses to CCE, but is acceptable (although not near perfect) -- but then again, to give credit, this is the first version of the tool :) And the 94kb filesize is just amusing little detail :)

IMHO, there are now two serious players in the biz, both in their own playing fields at the mo: DVDXCopy for making two-disc splits and DVD2One for making no-extras-no-swahili-subs movie only 1-disc copies.

Can anyone explain this please - I tried the dvd2one trial on Spiderman and Back to the Future. Both of these dvds where Wide screen versions but on the 30 minute trial they played as normal full screen!! Is this because it was a trial version? Also, I used decrypter to rip the files (in file mode) then just burned the files to dvd using recordnow that came with my hp200i drive. Am i doing thing right? thanks for the help.

    Mikemary :

Could it be that the menu's on that specific disc are in 4:3 instead of 16:9?
Some players are a bit picky on those things.
That is a known bug and is being fixed as we speak.

I recieved the software last night and I would have to say I was impressed with the speed and result. Granted it is not identical to the original but when I watch the movie it is not noticible to me and that is what counts. The application is well worth the price asked.

DVD2ONE - thanks for the info, I will look into that. I am definately going to order the program, what I've seen so far looks great. One other question, on the demo I did the fast forward or reverse would not work although scene skip did, any reason for this? thanks.

I am trying to buy this and the "buy" link keeps giving me "This page cannot be displayed" message. I have tried on three different computers.

    To DVD2ONE.

Just like to say a big THANKYOU for the development of DVD2ONE.

I think (on behalf of the majority of this post) what you have managed to produce is an excellent program which will surely benefit all that purchase it.

I look on with great interest for future developments.

I also take my hat off to you!!

I have had a problem with the movie Reign of Fire and Bourne Identity. My backups hang up in certain and repeatedly in the same spot. I made another copy of Reign of Fire and the second time was great. Is this a bug or is this an issue of running other applications while running DVD2ONE??

Hi, totally new to this, but have been watching with great interest in the DVD2one topics, I got a trial copy, the bit that confuses me is it will only let me select ONE title, albeit the main movie, am I right in assuming that this is a limitation ? or can you select the whole dvd - extras et al? - if so, does anyone know how?. As this is the option I would like (ie total backup of my DVD's)I would like some advice from you experts out there before I buy the full copy.
ps. I've aready got DVDXCopy 1.4 works OK, but burns to 2 DVDs (plus the 'Personal Copy' intro)
    any info appreciated....

DVD2one at this moment does not yet support 1:1 copies. That's a feature we are currently developing.

Have you copied the dvd to your harddisk with absoluty NO STREAMPROCESSING settings in DVDDecryptor?

Just make sure that the streams on your harddisk aren't pre-processed.

Even worse, the link to email them if you have a probloem isn't working.

dvd2one, if you're out there, would you email me at dowzup@comcast.net so I can download my software?
