I am using nero and dvd43 version 3.6.2. Everything was working well for some time now and then a problem occured. I was able to use my external burner to read and encode dvds before burning then the glitch. I don't know what the glitch was but here is the problem. when I load a new dvd into the drive, I get the blue screen of death (win xp version) and have to restart my machine. Once restarted, dvd43 has a green face but nero says the dvd is protected and does not work. Open and close the drive and blue screen of death. I have uninstalled dvd43, deleted all folders, cleaned the registry, reloaded dvd drivers, and reinstalled dvd43 with the same result. windows error report says the prob is with dvd43 but does not tell me how to fix it. Interestingly enough is that I can still use my internal drive to disable incription and encode with dvd43 and burn on my external drive with nero. The problem is isolated to the external drive and dvd43 while ripping. The reason I want to use my external drive for the rip is that it is much faster than my internal drive. Any clues?

Catfreak, I too am having a problem with getting "This version is not compatable with Win 9x" message. I uninstalled and reinstalled dvd43. This is still occuring. Haven't had a problem until a couple of days ago. What did you do to resolve your problem?

    Thanks.

@ dmk000 What I ended up doing with DVD43 is totally uninstall it and purchase AnyDVD ... Best on-line purchase I've ever made ... AnyDVD might cost money, but it sure beats the hell outta DVD43

@ 9mmruger1 .. nice, nice .. I have a tuxedo pattern black and white Maine Coon, a Russian Blue, a Siamese, and a solid black that are my pets. I also have two female Bengals and a male Bengal which keep me from having to go to a regular job. BTW, I'm a 9mmBrowning and .45Colt Combat Commander kinda guy myself

My nickname came from my first 9mm which was a KP89DC. I now carry a Glock G19, G23, G36 depending in my mood. :)

    Cheers
