DVD Decrypter is still a very strong program that serves many purposes. however, it's no longer updated. it will still burn your dvd files and rip old movies, but it cannot function alone on newer movies.

DVDFab Decrypter is only a ripper; it will not burn. however, it is still being updated and can be employed with other programs to be used in the whole rip-compress-burn dvd cycle.

i use both in my arsenal; they're just not made for the exact same thing.

I love Decryptor, but I agree its no longer being updated, so you will need other programs on newer movies.

latest version should. if you can't rip with that, there's RipIt4Me, AnyDVD, and a load of other systems to choose from. no one system works on everything; an arsenal is a good thing to have.

I agree. With DVD Decryptor, DVD FAB Decryptor, DVD Shrink, RipIt4Me, FixVTS, VobBlanker, Nero, and AnyDvd, you should be able to backup any movies without problems.
