    But does it work?
People are reporting that when they click on start, nothing happens.

You're going to think i'm dumb, but how do i run it ?; since i was able to get my Platinum codes to 'stick' i can only seem to run Platinum. I haven't thought about it before as i'd only tried using the free version of 4.1.2.0, usually i just use whichever Platinum version that the mouse lands on first..

    You can't.
Only the people that use the free version can.

This is what I have been wondering about. I purchased Platinum for 1 yr, if I let my subscription run out, then what. Fab states on their site that all of the features continue to function but that you can no longer update? What about HD Decrypter then? If all the features of Platinum still function and I dl the updates for the version, how do they not come together? Not sure if this makes any sense or not.

Only the free decrypter will work. Currently it does not. There will be an update real soon.

I've always been confused about that whole thing concerning the free HD decrypter. 1st it was never capable of decrypting hd as I was told either here or else where. They only recently added hd decoding to the whole thing correct?

Also, every time I ever tried to run the free decrypter it wouldn't as I had a key. Now I don't know if having the key on my pc would have triggered registration or what, but I do believe if I'm not correct that creaky asked me in a post why did I want to run the free hd decrypter if I had a paid version already.

So what's the deal concerning all this now? I thought there was no free decrypter anymore, but rather a trial of the free hd and then you had to purchase it. Remember Fengtao, or someone from DVDFab said they felt that it shouldn't be free anymore because of all the work they put into it? Or was this just 4 the updates?

Can any of you guys clarify how this works now concerning the free hd decrypter and if one has a paid version?

It does make sense though that if you do have the paid version then why use the free one like creaky suggested? Unless anyone w/a paid version is not planning to buy the yearly update subscription and will want to just use the free version?

Some people want the free version.
When installing, the user is given the option to start the trial or the free version. If the free version is selected, there is no problem.
The problem is when users select the trial version and it expires. They no longer have access to the free ripping part.
People with keys will not see this problem.
This issue is being worked on and a release will be out soon that will correct this.

Hi dialysis. Was I correct though about the HD part not being implemented until now that they've gone into the Blu-ray arena?

Or was the HD free decrypter always capable of ripping HD since it switched from DVDFab Decrypter to HD free a while back? Thnx.

They claim that it is capable of ripping HD for free. This would be full disc only and no other options.

    BD as well.
    The ripping part is free.
Users pay for all other options.

I know it's only a beta and betas are for testing but I don't think that it should produce more bugs than a previous version and some of the bugs in the latest stable version still have not been corrected.

So maybe it would be wise to use the last stable 5.xxx version? Thnx for the info. I will install the last stable 5.xxx version and wait until they work w/6 and iron out the bugs.

My take is all the options and features, but that's nothing new.
