    DVDFab 7012 Beta Is Out

    What's New:

    DVDFab 7.0.1.2 Beta (March 5, 2010)
    New: Language files.
Fix: Several known problems in 7010.

    DVDFab 7.0.1.0 Beta (March 3, 2010)
    New: Added full BD+ support.
New: Added new "Blu-ray to Mobile" option. Note: We suggest to use MKV file as output format, and use WD TV Live as player, it's a perfect match for Blu-ray backup.
New: Added chapter support for "Blu-ray to Blu-ray" and "Blu-ray to Mobile".
New: Added our own CUDA H.264 encoder. Note: If the video card is really high end, we recommend to enable both CUDA decoder and encoder for max speed.
If the video card is not, we suggest to use CUDA encoder for BD25 output, and use CUDA decoder for BD5 and BD9 output.
New: Main window is resizable now, and more readable on large screen.
Fix: Lots of small bugs from V6.

So how has this Beta been as far as ripping? Any known/unknown issues? It's a Beta so I really abstain from them until the new version comes out.

Was playing back Jennifer's Body and it kept skipping. On a Verb and both burners so either bad rip or disc was somehow compromised.

There's nothing to be afraid of re Beta's, without them we wouldn't have released versions.
As to the skipping, a CRC scan is in order, if any CRC errors then you have data corruption hence skipping..

Thnx creaky. What can I use to do one of these CRC scans? I did a search and it's a cyclic redundancy check. Is that correct?

Yup that's the one. You can use Nero CD-DVD Speed, latest version is 4.7.7.16 ~ http://www.afterdawn.com/software/cdr_software/cdr_tools/nero_cd_speed.cfm

Pop the disc in, select the ScanDisc tab and if the scan comes up with any errors, they should correspond to any skipping. If no errors then the data on the disc is intact, any skipping could be chapters out of order possibly, or a picky DVD player

Do we have to completely uninstall Fab version 6 in order to install Fab 7 and it to work? 7 doesn't want to open a DVD I put in. Both drives too. DVDFab 6 though opens it up w/no problems. Both versions are on same PC. Beta?

Won't open the disc period. Errors out w/failed to open disc wave sound on both the new Fab 7 Beta and Passkey. It's all over the Fab forum so I'm not going to kill myself like in the past.

We all don't have the same PCS so it's a bug. Unless it's a burner/firmware issue which I doubt as it won't work on both my builds.
