I am trying to back up a movie, I have used the dvd decrypter to dvd2one to nero guide. I have also used smart ripper to rip. But I cant seem to get a dvdr movie to work on anything but my DVDRW drive, but if I use a dvdrw disc everything works fine. Is there an option or something that I could screw up. Using Sony DRU-500ax.
do you mean you can only play it on your pc and not a standalone? If so, does your standalone support dvd'r check out compatibility at www.dvdrhelp.com and look in the dvd compatibility section on the right hand side. What media are you using (is it a cheap brand) How did you burn within nero - settings etc. I have a small guide which I used to good effect but by no means is it fool proof, I shall pm it to you, see what you think.
The only thing that can read the dvdr movie I record is my dvdrw drive. I have tried standalone and my dvd drive. My standalone should play everything, I'm using Verbatim discs so name brand.
