Hi. Great threads, alot of help here. I have a problem. I have been burning DVD's for a few months now. I rip with MTR, compress with DVD2onex, and burn with Yu Burner. I have an Apex DVD burner and it plays everything. I have burned atleast 100 dvd's and have no problem viewing them on my dvd player. The problem lies in that as soon as I burn a DVD on my mac.. I can't view it on my mac using the dvd player. It says "media not supported". I let a friend borrow one of my DVD's and he can't view it on his laptop either, but yet he'll burn a DVD on his laptop and I can watch it on My computer and DVD player. I think one of my setting is wrong or something. can it be the discs? I usually burn on DVD-R's he usually burns on DVD+R's (RW) My drive reads everything tho. And it can read the video TS and audio TS.. it just won't play the movie . Can anyone help?

Here's a link where you can download it. Or do a search "Download yuburner"

Anyways, It's a great burner, never had any problem with burning. Just with the readback. I have toast titanium 7 but have never used it to burn a dvd, just Cd's. I just bought a mac mini without a dvd burner, and sold my g4 powermac, i will be buying a macbook pro soon. So i will try to burn with toast on that. Um... I am and had been running Tiger and I've been using HP DVD-R 16X.

do yourself a favor.. get rid of them..
best buy this week as a verbatim sale.. 50pack for only $15..
    that's your first thing.

the only issue with toast 7 is that its not universal binary.. so it may not work correctly in the macbook.. i have emailed roxio and see what they say

....had a similar problem develope with my dvd drive....movies that I had burned and that once played on my computer could no longer be mounted when inserted into my computer's drive...this problem developed over a period of about 6 months....started with fuji discs; then sony....I went to best buy and bought a cd/dvd drive cleaner....it's a disc with hair...ran it through the drive 3 times and the problem went away....seems to have been dust in there....
