    hey,
i have one simple question.. can you use DVD2One and DVD X Copy to put a movie onto a single disc..or does dvdx copy just write directly to the disc and you have no control over it ?
    thanks

with dvd xcopy...if it can, it will; otherwise it will split it. but remember dvd xcopy duplicates the entire dvd, menu and all. with dvd2one...after you have ripped the dvd, it will put a movie on 1 dvd disc and it looks super...it will put only the movie...no menu, no special features, no extras, no crap.

cheezzzz, DVD2ONE is simply an encoder, it does not rip or burn, you will need a ripping program (free) and a burning program(probably the one that came with the burner) DVD2ONE simply removes all the extras ripped and compresses the movies, audio choices, and subtitle choices, to fit exactly to one blank dvd+-r/rw.

I have copied f.e. Green Mile (181 min) en Lord of the Rings (178 min) and by using DVD2one I coould burn them onto 1 DVD+r !!! Isn't that a miracle ! And the quality is still excellent !!

WizKid, I see that you have the HP200i DVD burner. I also have that brand. Is it just me, or did this drive come with no DVD burning software. (besides MyDVD)

I think there might have been some HP Writer software, but that doesnt back up copyrighted DVDs, correct?

check out my problem i encountered following this tutorial to do with the first VOB coming out about 35MB larger than requested and then the other VOBS cutting out when 75% done.

Do you need to remove VTS sectors on the VOB's or something, there must be something missing from this tutorial????
