i purchased an external hard drive that i plan on putting all my dvds on and using that as my library. Which format would have better quality? Avi or DivX or xVid? I've noticed the files that are in avi aren't that great in quality on my tv. Am i doing something wrong? I know it wont be HD but im hoping its better than all the fuzziness im seeing!

    thanks in advance!

You should be able to make Xvid AVIs that are nearly as good as the source. Keep your file size at about 1300 to 1900MB depending on the run time.
