I was wondering if there is a way to transfer something from my DVR (Cox, Rhode Island) to my DVD burner on my computer. I don't even know if this is possible, but thought I'd see if anyone knew anything about doing it. There are USB ports on the DVR box, but I don't know if they're active or not.
    I would appreciate any help.
    Thanks!

I have satellite service and I returned my DVD to them in favor of a friendlier unit. I have not used a PC for a couple of years and use standalone units that will record anything I can see on a TV
It would seem to me that even if your DVD [as connected] does not permit recording to a DVD in a PC or standalone, the use of a different port MAY be an answer. While I am not facing this problem, it seems that I have seen this issue mentioned and there seems to be an answer
