    Opps - double post above.

I think I'm supposed to be using HCEnc. I didn't buy Procorder.

I found that ProCorder was checked under Mode. I changed it to HC Mode and am trying again.

Now it made it to Overall Progress of 0.8% but it stopped again.

I clicked abort and Overall Progress flashed at 5.6% and then it aborted. Could it be that it was working but not showing any progress on the Overall Progress bar? Nothing had showed in the Program Status window for 15 minutes.

eclpro just like eclcce must be linked to the "encoder.exe"

i.e. when run for the first time you will have to browse for either procoder or cce EXE and specify that exe in order for eclpro/eclcce to run properly

    Hi Uncas.

I don't know what eclpro is.

I don't know what eclcce is.

I don't know what encoder.exe is, nor am I sure how I would go about linking to it.

I do know that if I clicked on the little folder icons in General Setup (under Options/Setup), paths to various files filled into the space automatically. Therefore, I clicked on the little folders and hoped for the best.

If I understood your Guide so far, both CCE and Procorder must be purchased. I didn't purchase them, so I don't think I have them.

After posting the OP, I realized I should check Mode and I found "Procorder" clicked under there. I realized this was probably a mistake and I clicked HC Mode. If I'm not mistaken, this is the free encoder which is included.

I think this worked because I ran RB again but let it run overnight and it completed.

I found a new file on my hard drive with the name of the disk I am backing up. When I clicked on it, my Roxio software opened up ready to burn. But I closed that and opened Dec*ter and am burning a disk now with that. I think it's going to work. I'll post again when it's done. :)

    Hi,
Backup is good. The solution seems to be changing Mode from Procorder to HC. Backup looks great. Thanks. -Tom

    hi tom,

good to hear everything went fine in the end

    that's correct

one can use cce or procoder if one wanted to

in that case one would have to......

in your case selectiong HC is absolutely fine and hc is a very good freeware encoder

i tested the lastest version 016 last night

@tombrookl, I'm very glad you figured it out. Rebuilder is my favorite prog. I usually use it in batch mode for 3-4 projects to be completed throughout the night. I use CCE Basic ($60.00) encoder and it is awe-some, but I never hesitated in using HC Hanks or even QuEnc (slower but nice!) when I first beagn using the program. You will really like the quality even when compression gets down to 45% & 50%. have a great day!
