edditing out commercails

    hello everybody I was woundering how you edit out the tv commercails. I have a tv capture card and it encodes dirrectly to MPEG so i need some thing that will edit MPEG. any advice will help thanks!

    Cuttermaran (for elementary streams), Womble mpeg-wizard, VideoReDo, Virtualdubmod...

    how do u get them to edit out the commercails. i know you have to cut the time line out but none of these will let me manuly put in the video time i want to cut.

    Just skip ahead to where you want to cut, make the mark-in. Jump to the end of the ad, make the mark-out, and delete the portion selected.
    They're not difficult to use, but no, you cannot type in a number and jump to that spot.
    You can in virtualdubmod, however, it won't save mpg, only avi, and you'd have to re-encode.

    but when i put the marker their it edits out every thing be4 or after it no just that little 20sec part.

    What program?
    In most, you must set a mark-in point, a mark-out point, and then delete what's inbetween.

    in VideoReDo, i was useing this because i could not find cuttermaran. Thanks 4 your help

    I use windows movie maker, It works great and the out put quality is really well too.

    yea i tryed that i get this stupid windows error. So that is why I was looking for something elses

    the windows error that pops-up and tell you absulutly nothing. if you tell me how to make a screan capture and i will show you. thanks!

    have you tried ulead video studio??, Thats another great program I use.
