I am looking for a program where I can open say a 30min avi video clip and cut certain bits out & save them as seperate video files, could anyone recommend a program that would allow me to do this? Thanks in advance,

I've tried that program, but when I save an 18sec clip its 1.3GB, shouldn't it only be about 30MB?

The guide is specific about setting the Audio and Video as 'Direct Stream Copy' - meaning that no processing is used - if you leave the Video as 'Full Processing' you will get huge raw files.

I realised that just after I sent the message, many thanks for the info.
