Editing the startup

    When i try to disable startup programs it wont disable what i want it to, when i reboot and check the settings they are back to what they were before the reboot any ideas why..

    check msconfig/startup & programs/startup

    I did check the msconfig and unchecked th e programs that i didnt want to start up but after the reboot they started up again?

    In the general tab of msconfig is selective startup checked?

    I just did a system restore and my pc seems to be running a lot quicker so its all good thats anyway though
