installed x2.6 in a v1.4 box & ran slayers auto on the hdd. Everything booted fine but when i went to load a game onto the hdd i got "your modchip does not support the eject on reset trick found. Disc must already be inserted to install" Is this a prob with the bios or the chip. am running x2-4973 bios but it is showing the box version as v1.1. can anyboddy help?

You need to reflash your chip with a bios that supports the eject fix (EF) function. Xboxstation(dot)com has a few.

Use one of thoes Evox M7ef bios. If it works, you can leave it on and add others if you want something different.

thanks everyone for your efforts i have been able to suss out what was happaning. I fitted another 2.6 chip from a working box into this one & believe it or not same problem so knew then it wasnt bios prob. Discovered i had installed slayers to a retail hdd instead of upgrade hdd ( because i didnt upgrade the hdd)so reinstalled slayers to upgrade et viola another step up the xbox learning curve.
