    Hiya all,

Maybe it is just me, but....

Has anyone else noticed that the time delay between a thread being updated and the email notification being sent to us is getting worse???

Is it because the system is having to handle more?

Or is it an unfortunate by-product of the server move of a while ago?

Or a coding change (task priority)?

    Or something else?

As I said, maybe it is just me!!!!

    Have Fun...

    The answer is:

Notifications are sent out instantly, but they get queued if there are other notifications going out as well. And also, your ISP's settings obviously have impact as well, if they have some sort of sloooow spam scanning for all incoming emails or something similar, it might cause part of the delay as well.

But ye, simple fact is that we get now 1300 messages to forums a day and each message sends out 0-200 notifications..

    Cheers for the reply, Boss..

Don't think it is my ISP, as I have my mail direct from their server straight into my mail server, with no filtering at their end.

    Thanks anyway.

    Byeeeee...
