i was thinking about what would happen if society collapsed today. would the religious zealots help bring about another dark age?

 

It's the religious zealots causing all the problems in the world today. And this is getting on shaky grounds to discuss, so I'll not continue further than this. Religion is an industry. It produces jobs and conflicts.

 

i was thinking more along the lines of the idiots proclaiming to follow them or suffer, as surely they're chosen by god, in the aftermath of society's upheaval.

just trying to keep this thread alive.

I carry this quote around with me. I don't know who said it; I read it in "Time".
