I've been having a problem with Nero, and I can't seem to fix it. I'm somewhat computer illiterate but I've read over the forums and done google searches to try and figure out what's going on, but nothing I've tried so far seems to work. Let's see:

-I have Windows XP home edition
    -I use a Plextor px-708uf burner
-I use DVD-Shrink to rip and Nero 7 Burning Rom to burn
-I tried using another burning software and the same problem occured

So here's what's going on: The problem first started right before burning of a movie was complete; after that, it occured sometimes, but always right at the beginning, before any information was even burned onto the disc. It seemed random though- sometimes the movie would burn, sometimes not. It was always the same message(could not perform end of disc-at-once; i'll include the log below). I uninstalled nero using the cleaning tool and reinstalled it. I downloaded the firmware for my burner; I reduced the speed at which I was burning. Nothing worked. Before I uninstalled nero, it was sometimes burning the discs, and sometimes it wouldn't work. Since I reinstalled it, it hasn't worked for me once. The only thing I haven't tried is switching my media (I've been using HP discs). I'm going to try that but was just hoping maybe I'm missing something. I'd appreciate any advice- thanks in advance!

You're best bet would be to try different media.
HP uses different manufacturers and some not that good.

For some reason your log doesn't have the usual manufacturer in it.
So pop one of those blank HP's in the drive go to Nero Tools>CD-DVD Drive Speed>Disc Info tab. The manufacturer should be listed there.

Good ones to use would be Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim or made in Japan Sony, Fuji or Maxell.

Power calibration error can be caused by media and/or firmware needing an update.

Burner can use 1 more firmware update too - the latest is 1.12

You've got 256mb in ram - more would be better - add another 256 mb if you can. Probably won't solve the burn problem but will help with performance.
