epad wont boot

Hi All

Ive been given an Epad to have a look at to see if I can get it to work, Ive got no knowledge on how it stoped working or who makes it. All I can do is hope somebody here has come across this problom.

The specs(what it says on the box)

software google android
android 2.1 mobile operating system

wireless 802.11b/g

The problom with the unit is that when it boots up you get
EPad on the screen
followed by a penguin in the top left screen
followed with ANDROID_

this is were the epad stops

it will not conect to windows.
