Epson R300 colour problem

    Is it possible to still print in ONLY BLACK ink on my Epson R300 when ALL my other inks are empty?? I read its not possible, and if thats the case I'm going to throw this damn printer out the window, because I need to print a simple b/w letter and I can't because EPSON is trying to milk money out of my pocket to get more ink, when i don't need it

    HELP!

    in your print setup select black & white or grayscale instead of color
