Error 16, Cant play games NEED HELP TO FIX!!!!

i think i have .2 or .3 and i have x2.4983 bios

 

do you have AID or SID?

how did you install dashboard before? which dash do you have before?

 

i did the slayer evo then i changed the dash to unleashX

 

so you still have the disk. Why dont you try that disk?

 

it wont load the disk

 

Then something is wrong with the chip.
do you have it enable? which logo do you see when boot up xbox?
which modchip is that? try different banks

you should see the "xecuter" logo under the big X and XBOX when boot up xbox.

 

that is what did come up but i havent used my xbox in like 4 months and now it wont work do u think i have to reflash the chip

 

don't reflash it yet. is it solderless?

 

Check the chip make sure it works before reflash.

 

ok when i turn on my chip the leds come on and every thing

 

do you see bios boot which chip on?
which logo appear.

 

no it does the xbox thing and where the xecuter whould be it says nothing then it goes into the error code

 

weird. There are 2 cases:

- modchip moved, D0 wire get loose.
- the chip lost bios ( make sure boot xbox with other banks too).

If you are sure that modchip is ok, then reflash bios.

 

can i take my hdd out of my comp and use the boot disk and see if i can get the time and not unplug the power

 

usually, error 16 only show up on Original xbox. With modchip xbox you dont have that error. Unless the modchip is off. Or modchip does not work.
