yea i just did it again and it works fine...i didnt change a thing... the same error comes up couldnt find fatx or whatever it is but the partion still show up

 

are you pauseing the computer as soon as it turns on? i spam hit my pause key as soon as the power button comes on

i have paused before reads ram, after reads ram, before pri hdd shows up, everything!

if you look in my computer, does it show up as another drive on your pc?

also, i use splinter cell to soft mod, in the dashboard, there is an option to unlock hdd, (on working one), if i unlock, will this let me boot up in non-working xbox? if so, is there a way i could get the hdd key somehow?

IT WILL NOT BOOT on non mod xbox. So do not unlock it.

You have softmod on this xbox, so ftp. you can find the eeprom in E drive.

 

ok when i open xbox360 exploer it says it cant reqineze them either but it still shows up

After you can connect pc to xbox then you can find the eeprom.bin on E drive.

After get the eeprom then you can use the xboxhdm again for the broken hdd. Then just unlock the broken hdd in any method. Or build a new hdd for that xbox.

i built a new hard drive already, couple of days ago, remember, i only had a 6 gig, and found out it was to small, and i believe you said it wouldnt work anyways because i needed the original eeprom key!

 

Hmm, switching eeprom. I am sure that it will work or not. But it is a good try.

 

you need at least 8Gb.
So try to unlock the broken hdd.
