A friend purchased an iPhone 3GS used from eBay, unfortunately it was stuck in error code 1015 (recovery mode loop) when he got it. The majority of the guides Ive come across say to use TinyUmbrella and run the Fix Recovery option, when I do that the phone reboots to a black screen and goes no further. Can anyone else suggest anything else? Im honestly not sure what I'm doing (don't own an iPhone myself) - Im just the default techie friend that gets asked to solve this kind of stuff for people.
