error message when burning

    Hi all!
    A couple of weeks ago i could backup my movies no problem but then my dvd writer decided to keel over and die,
    so i got exactly the same dvd burner again "sony dvd rw dw-u14a" and replaced it but now it won't work!!! :-( it's driving me potty!!!

    I went to backup a movie and got this error message? i'm using dvd shrink 3.1.7.6 and nero 5.5.8.1 using interface version: 6.0.0.0 any ideas?

    PS After dvd shrink had outputted the files to a folder i tried to burn the vob files using just nero on its own and my computer just kicks the blank dvd back out sayiny the media is not writable? i'm using infiniti 2x dvd-r's!

    does anyone now where i could d/load some drivers specificaly for the sony dvd rw dw-u14a?

    just a little thing but do u have anti-virus running? firewall?

    and if they two speed discs what speed is your drive & what speed is nero trying to burn at?
