permiggs, He is not burning with Nero, besides, dl media is really best to be burned with ImgBurn. Antas, Don't bother with Nero for dl media. The only coaster I had it was due to Nero on my first burn. Read up on it and you'll see it's not recommended by many.
Dr_No I hold my hands up for you. You're right about Nero, i know. The only DL burn i done tough, was on Nero and it worked...
Actually that coaster works in my pc's but not on my standalones. NP whatsoever permiggs, I just never tried Nero again for dl, one coaster is too many Let him do his first succesful burn and then he can experiment with Nero.
Dear Friends, Good nigth -Saturday I tried bought the Verbatim Media,but was not possible.I bought two media:Samsung(not very espensive-4,5 Euros) and a TDK (very expensive -10Euros). The Samsung is ritek=Memorex.The TDK Ricoh. In my home I tried burn these media but without sucess.The same problem, the same error. -Yesterday the laptop was Config. - Today I try step by step with decrypter guide(very usefull explanation and very good)burn a new movie in These Dl media. The same problem. Again I tried with the Shrink ( The movie was not protected). I make a full backup and I tried burn with the DVD Decrypter without sucess. - Then I make a backup with a Pinnacle (this program came to me with the NEC 6500A)to DL Memorex.The Memorex was burn. I tried play it in HP pavilon 480 but the DVD writer don't play it. I tried play it in my laptop but without sucess. At this moment a friend mine will try in home play with a standalone dvd player. @Antas Could you post your machine's credencials here please? Something is wrong there and i think your setup might be part of it...
Antas, Try this, create an ISO file with DVDDecrypter of your original disk. Once you have your image and MDS file open up ImgBurn with your DL media in the tray and click on the MDS file to burn. See if that works for you. It should. If not then you might have a media compability issue with your burner and that's why I suggested a possible firmware update. Let us know either way.

The error was:Not select DVD copy format.In Iso format Was burned a Queen concert. - Tomorrow I will try the Decrypter and the Imgburn it (suggested by the DR No) and will try the Iso decrypter image with Pinnacle, but I need buy some DL media - I thank again to theirs patience to resolve this problem
I don't know what drive you have but there seem to be three types of firmware available for it... NEC ND-6500A: (Known Firmware: 2.22) This is the one you just upgraded to: 2.24 (for drives with 2.x firmware) But there's also this one: 4.24 (for drives with 4.x firmware) http://www.de.nec.de/software/1871_FW_ND-6500_Win424.zip And then there's this one: 203D (for Dell OEM drives) ftp://ftp.us.dell.com/rmsd/203d.ZIP Is your burner a Dell OEM? Very likelly... Also, i have to say that your RAM size is quite 'average' for this kind of stuff, i know you're not swimming in money, so if an upgrade is a bit hard at the moment, all i can suggest is to make sure you close everything working in the background, net connection, firewall and anti-virus included.
I bought the Dell in Ebay USA.The Dell come to me with Dell software : (Operating system - in DELL CD),Drivers, utilities and application (In DELL CD).The CD are DELL not OEM. Can I uppgrade with 4.24 firmware? Thanks for your suggest -at moment I link the notebook to Internet with the server of my job. I make another burning with sucess - +/- two hours to burn 7,9 GB.
I don't know Antas, to be honest! dr_no might know the answer for this. I would say that it depends if your burner is 2x or 4x...
Antas, For firmware try this link, from NEC support site, http://support.necsam.com/Optical/downloads/FlashFirmware/readme.asp?ID=10 The last by NEC seems to be ver 2.24 and you just updated to that. Or if you don't mind hacked fw you can try Liggy and Dee's, here http://liggydee.cdfreaks.com/page/6500/ This will void your warranty but IMO it does worth it. It's up to you. Now your max burn speed is 2.4X so it will take a while to burn a dl disk, but 2hours its a bit too long. You should check if your DMA is on or off, it should be on. With your available RAM you can get by.

Antas, Go to Device manager, expand IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers, and check under both Primary and Secondary IDE Channels. To do this right click on each then Advanced Settings. If not enabled drop down Transfer mode and select DMA if Available.
Dear No and Dear Premmings -Today I tried to read a movie(is the movie burn with Pinnacle in DL a Dl memorex media with sucess) with the decrypter but appeared to following message: Cracking CSS... ....Bruteforce cracking failed...filename:VTS... reason:There were no vulnerable blocks -There is here that not understand: the file Iso of that the present DVD resulted was obtained across of the cloneDVD - therefore the protection was removed. Now the DVD has again protection? -In this moment my friend says me that did not obtain to open this DVD in the computer, but obtained see the file across of the standalone DVD . However in my one laptop the movie is open across of the InstantCinema of the Pinnacle also is open with the WMclassic in the my Jobdesktop.
Antas, I don't fully understand your last post But if I'm not mistaken, you tried with DVDDecrypter to backup a movie? Then used CloneDVD? Am I correct? Well if that's so then, it seems that DVDDecrypter wasnt able to remove the protection. Since it's not updated anymore some people have problems with it, for some it still works. Anyway a step by step description of what you did will help us in giving you a solution. One more thing, I would ditch the Memorex media, for DL layer nothing works better then Verbatim DVD+R.
