errors when encoding

it did not work. ihave even uninstalledmy other encoding programs and other non essential software but get same problem. haven't got a clue whats going on i'm baffled.

There's something called an 'Event Viewer' in Control Panel > Administration Tools, which is supposed to record errors and such.
It lists the times that the event happened.
Perhaps someone can interpret what the messages mean.
As you have noted, it's different applications shutting down.
I assume you have checked for virus and such (although you said you had reformatted and reinstalled Windows) so that would seem remote.
Sorry, I'm stumped.

 

hi attar i have uninstalled all my games all my encoding programs and all i had left was bitcomet which i have used for 3 years with no problems and using the same encoding programs. i reinstalled 1 encoding program which was dvd santa and got the same result. i uninstalled bitcomet and then used dvd santa and it worked. but nero comes up with an error log and winavi dvds won't play in dvd player even though mines hacked. can't understand why after all this time i'm having problems. i really appreciate all the help you have given me.

that's good.
Post the Nero log (you installed 6.6.0.18 after cleaning out the previous version) see if it's different.
