Euro-vox 2007 max

Hi please help. I've got the new euro-vox and cant get the thing to work. I've done an auto scan without any success then i tried the full scan. I understand to do the full scan i needed to change the symbol rates. Fortunetly i came across this info online:

Mode=Normal
Start=100 (339 would do though)
End=880 (770 would suffice)
Symbol Rate=6.887 (This is for NTL from what I've read)
Symbol Rate=6.952 (This is for Telewest methinks - no harm in using both)
Step=8

These are the rates i've changed too. I believe these are the rates for the area i live, Belfast. After the scan my tele went blank, a blue screen has appeared with the title - Information - "please wait code being updated". This has been on the screen for a few hours. Am i on the right track????

 

you need new firmware for it to update.what colour box did your eurovox come in red or blue.

 

It came in a red box, and i've already put firmware into it as from last night it came in a bin file.

 

yeah then it should update.

 

Ryan mate, dont suppose you have any idea how long this update should take???

 

i think it should take 5-6 mins

 

Mines has been updating about 3 hours now and still no progress

 

are you sure you have the latest firmware.

 

Definately have the latest software mate. It was one the supplier sent me.
