Euro Vox Max V 2008 chipping

i'm new to this forum, i would like some help into how chip the Euro Vox Max V 2008 box to get channels, can some help me out or point me in the right direction + what cable will i need

u dont chip it wen u put ur box in got 2 settings an go 2 clear data
wen u do that go 2 instalation an click on that wen that comes up press the yellow button which means powerscan an then wen that comes up ul see a menu were it says normal change it 2 full if it already on full then leave it an press ok 2 scan then ul get all the channels

the guy that sells them says he has to flash it or install some software on it, i want to know what he does to them

 

He is more than likely talking about updating them with the latest firmware

 

serious is that he did

how do i check the lastest firmware on mine, i bought it last week its been working fine but now the picture is pixelating after about 1 hour of viewing, tunrned the box off let it cool seems to be ok when it cold but the pic pixelates after a bit.

the signal is ok, i checked it with my virgin box and its fine.
dont know what to do cant get hold of the guy i bought it off.

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.

Null modem info for references only as this is cheaper on fleabay

is my box out of date or something, why is it pixelating

 

Need more info like provider and location?

 

providor is vigin media and location manchester

 

Update to this version http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/578790 and your problem will be solved. Please follow the update instrucions word for word.

do i use this beta version or use the updated 15/10/07 firmware,
also do i just load the program and download my cdf file, then upload the firmware and then upload the cdf file again.

Yes use the BETA firmware and follow these instructions



If you are upgrading your box i.e. it already has software on the box please follow this instructions.
After flashing box as normal,
Save Your Channel Data File by Using the Software to Upload Channel Data From Box To Your Desktop PC.
Then Go To
MENU
CONFIG
CLEAR DATA
TYPE IN YOUR PIN
CHOOSE 2ND OPTION (FACTORY DEFAULT)
SELECT YOUR SYMBOL RATE
RESCAN BOX or DOWNLOAD YOUR CHANNEL DATA FILE FOR DESKTOP PC

YOU MUST DO A FACTORY DEFAULT:
FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE ABOVE PROCEDURE WILL CAUSE THE SOFTWARE ON THE BOX TO CRASH
& RESET EVERY TIME YOU SELECT THE TV SETTINS MENU.
