Have recently bought a euro vox 2008, wanting to know if you need to have the cable box & euro vox both connected or whether to disconnect the cable box. Also is there anyway of knowing if you have a cloned box??

Just make sure you use a good quality splitter between the two boxes. 2008 models have not been cloned yet.

Sorry for being daft about this, but does this mean I have to have both boxes connected???? or can I disconnect the cable box??? Also can these boxes be detected by your cable provider???
    Thanks for any help.

Its up to you but there is no problem having both connected and no they cannot be detected as they have no talkback feature for obvious reasons :)

I reckon you know exactly what they do:) And yes, it will replace your current box but you will need a minimal Supplier package. For example, if you were with NTHell on cable with full sports and movies pack, you could reduce this to a basic package.

No need. After you get one, you'll spend more & more time digging out this forum ( very addictive ). This means that she will have tele all to herself ! You wont have time for Sly sports and the rac*ng channels ! And if there are any kids, you are completely screwed as that Disn*y Channel will never get a break.

Never mind, plenty of those programs on regularly to keep her occupied: you know the ones about moving to a nice villa in warmer climates ?

Or the ones that give her ridiculous ideas about decorating the house ?

You will soon see the error of your ways ;-)

Sly cannot be unencrypted only by using a subbed box from Sly.

Easy to set up, if you are in Ireland send a private message to Mainanm and he will sort you out.

hi well you can get it from fleabay or some of these sites at the bottom of here

i got mine from fleabay and it came the next day with the sep 2007 software already installed and make sure you get a null modem cabe, and F type connector as this will make it easier for you to be up and running within mins

also for future advice the symbol rate for NtHELL( now Vir**n) is 6.952 with Fq starting from about 131.000 Mhz to 667.000 Mhz

if not on the above the let me know and i will put the rest of the info on here for you

    hope this helps

There is a new firmware update for the Max V out since yestersay that vastly improves the EPG and a lot of other things on the box.

By the way have they changed N**s symbol rate as it was always 6887.
