YIPEE. Having read most of the posts about signal strength etc, I wondered if cabl* provider had somehow reduced the signal to the input feed. In a moment of huge frustration I took the set upstairs and plugged it into the broadband connection and after following all your helpful tips I did an initial scan and got 81 channels. I did a second scan on full and got 83 channels, so at least I know the set is working. Now down to the learning by experimentation and reading lots to get more channels.

 

hi there just to let you know I am on VM and pay only for my broadband and have enjoyed my T.V for the last 18 months and just use the same cable as before.

 

The joys of eurox. Everything working great as i continue to get more familiar with it and also got all my radio channels at last. My only concern is i'm losing edge of picture-it is too wide for telly. Plus my missus worried polis come and take us away. Otherwise magic. And you's were right half the fun is sussing it out and getting it working.

 

Glad to see you are getting the swing of it Regards widescreen there is a new firmware release 24/10/07 you will see a thread I have with all you need to know on it, this will give you widescreen.

Tell the Mrs not to worry as they are quite invisible on the network

 

Hi I got there after doing silly stuff like not deleting first and then using wrong frequency etc but seeme to be working better than ever. cool.

Have just purchased eurovox2008.. and installed it..channels coming up great perfect picture quality HOWEVER no sound bar horrible high pitched noise..any advice??

 

Im not too sure , check your scart is not loose or try a differnt one

 

you probably have your modulator settings wrong,try changing to pal i
in your setup menu

Hi- I saw thread above recommending PAL setting, I was on MULTI which was working ok, just wondered what difference was, also do people think that there is any negative in using signal booster- My signal seems ok, but then thought I should use booster anyway and get better signal? Maybe doesn't work like that. Anyway eurovoxmax 2008 is good! All that's missing is HD!

 

When i turned on the booster i lost all the channels,signal was probably to strong, just turned it off and they came back.

 

New to the site and not sure if this will get through. Just installed new Eurovox Max V and all appears fine. Sorted channels into Favourites OK. Got one problem though. On VM and cant figure out how to get to on demand services such as TP replay etc. Anyone help?

New to the site and need help! I've a Eurovox max v 2008 preflashed box,I've been having the same problem as certman after scanning no channels are stored,I've tried every which way without success,tried power scan and get "no transponder to scan" message,plugged directly into box so its not split.Any help and suggestions greatly appreciated,missing out on vital footie!!!Live in Dublin by the way.

 

thanks everyone for all your help its working now. pulled out all cables etc and just started again and worked after agonising hours pulling hair out!ah well!wonderful tv to make up for it

 

WHat firmware have you got on the box pfk70? go to menu config system info

 

hi pfk if your symbol rate was 6.952 change this to 6.887 the press ok then scan. This could be prob, but then again I'm no expert! Good luck

 

Message for scOuser. I'm on VM. Just installed new Eurovox Max V 2008 and want to know if I can still expect to get the on demand service. Can you advise?

 

sparsnips, I don't know but I think I would feel safer not doing it as I wouldnt want my box communicating with anyone if u knwo what i mean
